Now, Football Manager is the front runner in Football Management simulation. It became clear, very quickly, that Sports Interactive was the key.įootball Manager was the true next edition of Championship Manager, and eventually, the name Championship Manager, which was essentially a new game with an old name, fell by the way side. ![]() This is all very similar to what happened with Football Manager/Championship Manager.Ĭhampionship Manager had been around since the mid 90s, and then the publisher and developers split, and two games were made: Football Manager and Championship Manager.Ĭhampionship Manager had the publisher from the established franchise name, but had a new developer.įootball Manager was a new game, made by a new publisher, but retained Sports Interactive the developer. If I'm completely honest though, I have zero self control so I'll probably by RCT: W right now and then get Planet Coaster when it releases. I'm not going to pre-order just yet, but I'll definitely keep an eye on it. Plus I love the art style for Planet Coaster and they mentioned having 20,000 park guests at one time. RTC: W's rocky development doesn't give me hope and Frontier has experience and a vision. Also the fact that Frontier is developing Elite: Dangerous makes me skeptical on how they could develop a second full fledged game at the same time, though I don't know exactly how big their team is.Īll of that being said, I'm still more excited for Planet Coaster. Hopefully this is just a case of them being excited for the game and getting ahead of themselves rather than trying to get money as fast as possible. They've announced an entire plan for several expansions and you can already buy passes for the expansions but they haven't even finished the game. ![]() That being said, we have the e3 trailer, one dev diary, and a end of 2016 release date and they're already asking people to pre order the game for $50.įrontier has been a little shifty in elite: dangerous. Having a vision from the beginning usually creates a good game. Planet Coaster is coming from the people that made RTC 3 and from the one dev diary we've had, it sounds like they have a very specific vision on what they want. Plus in the e3 trailer the graphics looked like a slightly better RTC 3, which isn't promising for a game coming out 10 years later. Roller Coaster Tycoon World has changed developers several times already so I'm a little iffy on it. Which are you more excited for? Will you be picking up one or both of these big studio titles? Are you already a part of Theme Parkitect? Development of this title has been shaky, from the first 'gameplay video' that had lack luster visuals, to Atari making multiple changes of development studios. On the other side is Rollercoaster Tycoon World. As we know Planet Coaster is by Frontier, the same devs who did RCT3 and the mobile game Coaster Crazy. Can't wait to see more, especially those about rides and coaster creation. the detail in the guests looks really great. But I will be looking at buying one of the big upcoming theme park manager titles, but will most likely only buy one.įor those who haven't seen it, today Planet Coaster released this dev diary about the agents in the theme park. ![]() So I think I will buy Parkitect.I've already got Theme Parkitect, always willing to support the indies. I strongly recommend to check the website and the trailers, which for me are the best and funniest trailers I've seen in a long time. Unlike Planet Coaster, the game looks like it will be more challenging. ![]() Parkitect on the other hand appears to be more traditional, and in my opinion, more fun than Planet feels like a real successor to Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 with new intersting mechanics. Also building rides appear to be clunky and not intuitive. It is apparently very easy to earn customer satisfaction and money. While Planet Coaster gives you absolute freedom to what you would like to do, from what I've read and seen in reviews (like Worthabuy or Lazy Game Review on Youtube), there doesn't appear to be any form of difficulty or challenge. So that leaves Planet Coaster and Parkitect. And if you've been following what's happening regarding this game, I think it's safe to assume why not many people will buy it. So my question is : Which one do you think you will buy ? Rollercoaster Tycoon World ? Planet Coaster ? Or Parkitectįor me well.First I won't buy RTW. If there are, please feel free to delete it.Īt the moment there are 3 big names who try to be the spiritual successor to our beloved serie, Rollercoaster Tycoon. First of all, I apologize if there are any topics that have the same subject but I didn't find any.
